  • May 22, 2020: “What on earth happened to the world's premier ski resort! One word. Vail. It's quite amazing that in 2 short years Vail could change a mountain resort so much. But boy have they, and not for the better. Oh hell no! While the price of the epic pass has fallen bringing MUCH more traffic to Whistler. At the weekend it's so much traffic, you can't really even ski. Not to mention the ability level of said teaffic, where getting on a chair lift is quite the challange. And if you don't have an epic pass, get ready to pay almost $200cad for a lift ticket. I hope you brought your own sandwich and beer cus' that's gna set you back another $25. And you think for all this money you'd get a good quality of skiing.. No. They only seem to open up all terrain when it's really busy and they have too. Chair lifts are CONSTANTLY stopping. I barely rode one that didn't stop. Or at least run at slowest speed for most of the ride. Then there's the grooming. It seems to get worse every year, if you like to ski fast, be careful at WB! With international travel at a stand still. And local customers being treated like garbage. I'm not sure who WB is trying to attract. But all I know is they won't be receiving the best ski experience. Maybe not even s good one. Please note that vail have little concern for the ski experience, it's staff or its short term and long term customers. If you have an option to ski somewhere else out of vails ownership. You will have a better ski experience and will be doing communities a favor. Matt” 0

The enormous size of the resort with its 2 connected mountains (Whistler and Blackcomb), the number and length of all the runs, the amazing food served at the many huts high up on the slopes, the proximity to downtown Vancouver (just 1,5 hs away) and most importantly the quality of the snow really made this a memorable experience! We were extra lucky to get a 10cm snowfall the first night which, added to the existing snow base, made off-piste riding through the trees a total blast the following day! I also really liked how well-organized the resort is: the queues really flowed well and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get on the lifts. I'll for sure be coming back for more epic skiing whenever I'm in BC again. Pablo from Explore-Share” 1
