Mount Washington Alpine Resort

  • Mar 21, 2019: “Though they have the monopoly on skiing on Vancouver Island it is still a great hill. Trying to book lessons can be a frustrating experience but once on the hill the staff is great, and the lessons for my daughter have always been worthwhile. If the snow is timed well you can have an epic day here. I am from the mainland but don’t miss it and this mountain helps!” 0
  • Mar 21, 2019: “I took a large family group to the Spring Break Deal (includes lift passes, tubing and kids' meals) through Bear Lodge. We travel a lot as a family, but as my youngest said... 'This was the BEST Spring Break EVERRRR!' I had prebooked the ski equipment in advance and put the youngest two children in ski classes for one morning only - they loved Rosa, Paul and Ethan! It worked out cheaper to book a private lesson for the teens and they all raved about Casper. All the kids came out with improved skills and enhanced knowledge of safety on the slopes. Darren kept the whole workflow with the instructors running efficiently. I particularly appreciated the good humour and energy of the staff working the Tubes and want to thank the safety team on the Ski-Doos snowmobiles (but that is a whole other story!) I recommend this trip to all on the Lower Mainland. Travelling here was a dream with short travelling distance. It was cheaper and friendlier than Whistler and I did not have to drive 5+ hours across the Coquihalla where the other resorts are located. Well done Mt Washington - see you again soon!” 1
  • Mar 18, 2019: “Pros: 1. It was the perfect intro for our family with no experience. 2. No overcrowded. Not rushed. 3. Reasonable approach on how to ski. We liked our ski instructor. 4. Tube park was great (although pricey for the hour). Cons: 1. The green runs (magic carpets) were closed by 3:30 in the afternoon. We took a 2 hour skiing lesson, took a short break for lunch, and headed out to practice again. Because the magic carpets closed so early it decreased our ability to practice. Wished they put some signs out by the rental area telling their customers when the areas were shut down. We were not the only customers left wondering why the magic carpets shut down so early. 2. Rental staff could have been more helpful when we picked up our skis. We had to go back for our helmet, goggles, and ski poles even though I asked about them initially when I picked up the skis. 3. Tobogganing area is only open on weekends and holidays. We checked out the area and it seemed very limited on where the kids can go.” 2
