  • Jan 24, 2025: “On October 26 2024 I ordered and paid for 1 child and 1 adult ski pass to be sent to my residence in Vancouver as a birthday present for my grand-daughter to be used in January. I paid $210.53 and the invoice clearly states "Physical Pass Card will be mailed" and then it had my "ship to address in Vancouver" Waited for it to come and nothing showed up so I both emailed and phoned them to find out where the card was on December 30th. Was told it had not been sent yet (no explanation) but they would get it out immediately the following week and it should arrive by the end of that week. I went up to Whistler and skied with my grand-daughter on Jan 18/19 2025 and bought a ski pass for those days as my pass never did arrive. Today, January 24, 2025 it finally arrived in the mail - almost 3 months from the day I ordered it. I don't know if I will get the opportunity to use this pass this year- terrible customer service and follow-up. You can tell by their attitude on the phone that they "couldn't care less"” 1
  • Jan 23, 2025: “I won't be skiing at any resorts that are run by Vail management company. I have been skiing for 50 years throughout North America. I have never seen such poor service and ridiculous lift ticket prices. My daughter online ordered 3. --1 day lift tickets for herself, her husband and myself. The lift tickets were ordered 2 weeks prior to our skiing day. When we arrived, we found that she had mistakenly ordered 3 -1 day tickets that only she could use and were not transferable. No problem, I thought we could simply return the 2 of the tickets and pay the difference, which would have been another $ 320 in the pocket of the Vail whistler mountain. However, after talking to the initial helpline, and then the manager we were informed that we would have had to ask for the money back within twenty four hours and sorry we couldn't help you. We simply did not have enough money to do this. So we canceled our day of ski and accepted that the 3 -1 day tickets were a loss. Fortunately, the ski rental facility, which operates on the mountain, thought that this was awful and refunded me the cost.of the rental. I cannot believe how expensive skiing is at Whistler is now. It's nice, but I'm sorry it's not that nice. The way Vail management treats customers is horrible. Vale would have actually made an additional $320 if they had agreed to refund the cost of two tickets which were purchased at a discount. Then my son in law and me would have bought full price tickets. I will never ski at Whistler, or any ski facility that is run by Vail. They have priced themselves out of the average person budget. I encourage everyone to patronize other resorts for half the price. After all it's just a mountain with snow on it. So what did I learn? I learned that Vail management doesn't appear to value its customers and has priced itself out of the average person's budget for skiing.” 2
