Nestled 60 kilometers east of Bella Coola in the stunning Great Bear Rainforest, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is celebrated for its vast, awe-inspiring landscapes and the abundance of wildlife. It is home to one of the most pristine grizzly bear habitats in the world. We respectfully acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional territory of the Nuxalk and Ulkatcho First Nations. We are delighted to extend our warmest welcome to guests in this extraordinary region, where you’ll discover the world’s most extensive interconnected fjord system, the largest intact temperate rainforest, and a breathtaking mountain landscape adorned with glaciers, granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and pristine rivers. This awe-inspiring backdrop is complemented by our attentive hospitality, immersive wilderness experiences, ethical wildlife encounters, and a commitment to sustainably sourced, nourishing cuisine. These offerings are integral parts of our all-inclusive Small Group and Private package programs. Each package also includes airport transfers, lodging, meals, alcohol, massage therapy, and daily guided activities. As one of the original wilderness lodges in British Columbia, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge has been a welcoming haven for nature enthusiasts since 1931. Lodging is available in ten charming log or timber-frame chalets, or two elevated suites, each offering a unique view of the adjacent property bordering the Atnarko River, providing exceptional mountain views. During spring and summer, visitors to the area are greeted with flourishing wildflowers, cascading waterfalls, and extraordinary opportunities to witness the landscape transform as the glacial-capped mountains begin to melt, enriching the Bella Coola River with essential nutrients. In the autumn, visitors from across the globe are treated to the spectacular sight of grizzly bears fishing along the picturesque Atnarko River, just a stone’s throw from the lodge. For reservations, in June, July, and August, the minimum stay duration is two nights, while in September and October, a minimum of 3 nights is required. Tweedsmuir Park Lodge has garnered accolades as the #1 Hotel in British Columbia, according to TripAdvisor, has been celebrated as one of “BC’s Best Luxury Lodges” by CNN, and proudly stands as a founding member of The Magnificent 7 Luxury Wilderness Lodges of Canada.
