Your captain (Shane Servant B Sc.) is a marine biologist with over 25 years experience on the ocean. He has done fishing charter work in many areas in B.C. since 1995. Shane worked as a public educator and Diving Officer at the Bamfield Marine Science Centre from 1995-2000. He is a Master SCUBA DIVER TRAINER for PADI and a professional videographer involved in a number of nature documentaries. Since 2000 he has focused on fish and fish habitat surveys for industry and government, whales are also sometimes spotted. Many marine birds will keep you entertained as well. You also get to learn about some interesting facts about the local area. See website. The Water Bear is a very solid custom 26+ aluminum live aboard previously used to conduct marine research in remote locations. This vessel has lots of stories. This vessel is very comfortable and sea worthy. All safety requirements by Transport Canada are met or exceeded. Fully insured. We can accommodate large groups.
